PhD Candidate
Currently a PhD candidate in Neuroscience specializing in computational approaches to unravel cellular and circuit-level mechanisms of neurodegeneration, with a focus on the APOE4 gene variant. My research interest involves the integration of spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omics analyses to map gene expression patterns to circuit and network level dysregulation with a goal to identify pathogenic pathways in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and related motor neuron disorders. My aim is to combine neural circuitry analysis with biophysical modeling to investigate the role of astrocytes in aberrant synaptic plasticity and its role in disease progression and neurodegeneration.
